Trusts

A trust is created when money or property is held on behalf of another person or persons. They are often created for tax planning purposes or to hold assets for children or young people. The people who look after the assets are called trustees. A trust can be set up either during a lifetime or under the terms of a deceased's will. There are few formal technical requirements necessary to establish a trust, except where land is concerned. Our department can provide advice on the full range of trusts in order to ascertain the most appropriate trust for your needs.
